The Nantucket Inn

For this rendering project with JTB Furniture, I was tasked with creating custom furniture designs and high-quality renderings for their client, the Nantucket Inn hotel. The hotel had placed an order with JTB for several key furniture pieces but lacked finalized designs. That’s where I came in—designing a range of essential pieces, including a nightstand, headboard, bed base, desk, and appliance cabinet, all while making sure everything matched the hotel’s unique aesthetic and functional needs.

The project wasn’t just about creating individual designs—it was about ensuring the pieces fit seamlessly into the Nantucket Inn’s vision. Once the designs were set, I produced realistic 3D renderings that showcased each piece on its own, as well as how they would interact within the hotel room. By using actual room dimensions and specifications, I helped both JTB Furniture and the Nantucket Inn visualize the final layout before production even started, allowing for a smoother approval process.

  • Three-Drawer Chest: Featuring a flat marble top, round handles, and short, slightly splayed legs, this chest boasts a cerused oak finish, giving it a rustic yet elegant vibe—perfect for a coastal-themed space.
  • Nightstand: A simple, square design with an open lower shelf, finished in cerused oak. This piece offers a light and airy feel, ideal for a beach-inspired atmosphere.
  • Desk & Appliance Combo Unit: A combination of cerused oak and marble, this piece features a sleek marble tabletop supported by two legs on one side, with appliance storage compartments and two drawers on the other—offering both sophistication and functionality.

This project highlights my ability to deliver a comprehensive solution, from concept to rendering, tailored to the specific needs of a hospitality environment. My work not only helped the Nantucket Inn visualize their upgraded rooms, but also gave JTB Furniture a clear blueprint to move forward with production, ensuring both the functionality and style of the custom pieces were spot-on.
